Family Meeting

It seems as though some people still haven’t gotten the message yet that you’re supposed to announce big things to immediate family before telling distant relatives or even random people you meet on the street. But oh well. That’s what you get for having expectations of normalcy from family.
Glad it wasn’t me… Last time I was the center of a family meeting was due to some stupid indiscretions as a teenager. And I don’t think that story is going to get told here. I still haven’t told my parents what really happened… Hehe. Hi, parents! Suffice it to say, I was telling the truth when I said the Evian bottle I was carrying really had water in it. I was not out drinking all night. Though, if they were familiar with alcohol at all, they would have known because I didn’t have the stench of booze on me.
Anyway, went out after family meeting/dinner for free slurpee day at 7-11. (July 11th. Get it? Hehe…) I didn’t even know it was going on. But everyone else knew about it. Apparently this is an annual event. Ian and I pumped Stephanie for gossips on the way there and then my sister got her and Lenny on the way back. Don’t know if she got anything good out of them though.
Got home to see the excellent job Ian did on the lawn. He waited around for the window guy to come measure in the morning and mowed the lawn (front and back) and did some edging while he was waiting and after the window guy left. It looks excellent. Now I just need to get rid of this weird prickly weed that started growing next to the door.
Hm… Haven’t written a good rant lately. Someone give me something to be angry about besides my family. :) -j.The Scorpion King psp
