More ranting about drugs
Posted in Rants/Raves on 08/06/2006 12:02 pm by enjanerdAnd the saga continues…
I have now spoken with Johnny, Marilyn, Aiyana, Denise, Rhonda, Kenny, Tasha, Aggie, Beverly, and Tabitha. Rhonda was the most incompetent of them all, answering my inquiry by letting me know my prescription had been sent out on July 7, 2006. Is there anything else she can help me with? Yes! Where is my prescription *now*? Stupid woman. Everyone else I’ve talked to has been able to see the 10 notes attached to this and see that there’s obviously a reason I’m calling about a prescription that was sent 4 weeks ago.
Oh yeah, and did I mention that my primary care physician is no longer my physician? I called their office and was informed that he no longer works there. Maybe he moved… or maybe he just changed jobs. But I get to pick a new doctor. Until then, they have had a different doctor write a refill prescription for me. Problem? He wrote it for a 30-day fill.
So, now walgreens thinks we’re even because I paid for a [90-day] prescription and they filled a prescription for me. I can file a request for a refund, but that’s really not how it works. If you get any maintenance prescription filled by mail, they all cost the same. So why wouldn’t I have just gotten a refund for the one they messed up and gone to CVS to get this filled same-day? Oh, because I enjoy waiting an extra month for each of my prescriptions. Buncha jerks.
I called my insurance company and they told me I needed to write them a letter of complaint. The guy I talked to didn’t really know what kind of response I would get from them, but that was the process I needed to go through.
I called my credit card company yesterday and explained the situation. They have sent a letter notifying Walgreens that they are to refund my money or give me the extra 60 days of prescription. They have 30 days to resolve this, or they get no payment at all. Until then, the charge is frozen. Yay Discover!
