*Frazzled*
Posted in Life on 05/02/2007 10:10 pm by enjanerdThere are some days I get completely overwhelmed. Too many things to do, too many places to be, too many obligations…
Today has been very much one of those days. And for some reason, I don’t know why making lists help me. I have an 11″x17″ piece of paper folded in 4 columns grouping my different tasks and then prioritizing them, with contact info and references on the back… and I *had* to use this size paper because I was consolidating 4 sheets of 3-column to do lists that I just kept restarting or adding to without getting anything done.
Things of note:
- Wedding present to mail – attended wedding 9 months ago
- Life insurance form – filled out, addressed, and stamped 5 months ago
- Get/install curtains – 18 months
- Put hubcap on my car – 28 months
- Find a new doctor and transfer medical files so I don’t have to drive 20 miles to my old dr every time I get sick – 6 months (And NewGirl sent me the info for her doctor’s office, which is close by, covered by our insurance, etc… so it’s not like I even need to do the finding part.)
- Watch second half of Blood Diamond… already in DVD player – 2.5 weeks
- Brush hair – 1 week
- Pass final exam – tomorrow
- Update Blog
On the one hand, I’m kind of sad about missing out on the 12:34 5/6/07 date… but I’m fairly certain I would be about a week past having started a nervous breakdown at this point anyway.
Note to self: You never have too much free time. Don’t ever Another 48 Hrs. movie
The Frisco Kid say that again.
QOTD in an email I received for work today: “Sincerely, ‘Uncle Bill’”

I hope this quote can cheer you up:
“No one ever gets far unless he or she accomplishes the impossible at least once a day.†~ Elbert Hubbard
And I believe that you achieve that each and every day.
