I went to a baseball game! My first major league game that I can remember. There is dispute as to whether I attended a game with my uncle and siblings when I was little. Either way, I don’t remember it.

Ian got tickets from one of his coworkers who has season tickets. They were pretty good seats… front of our section on the upper level behind 3rd base. Next to a couple Oriole fans though. There didn’t seem to be that many of them when we were walking over from where we parked. There were Red Sox fans everywhere though.

Bought some peanuts, ate a hot dog, had the baseball experience. Then there was the bad call in the bottom of the 8th, which should’ve been a double play. We could see it clearly from our seats. Yenny even texted me to let me know he should’ve been out. But that led to the Orioles tying up the game and an extra inning. And then the Red Sox lost 3-6. Sniffle…The Interpreter download

What is going on??

So far this year, my sis-in-law finished making a baby, my boss’s wife just finished one, and VHMPrincess had her third.

I just found out that 3 of my former coworkers are pregnant. This is especially interesting because I don’t work with that many women.

The first one, who has probably already had her baby by now left my current company about a year ago and sent an email a few months ago announcing her wedding and expected child.

Second, was TLD’s workiversary buddy. She quit, worked somewhere else for a while, got married, bought a house, sold her house and moved south, moved back, and got pregnant. All within about a year and a half.

Third, a former coworker who was more opposed to children than I am and smokes like a chimney, announced she’s due in January. This is terrifying

to me. I’ve been warned numerous times about the whole biological clock thing, which I’m not looking forward to. But I didn’t realize how powerful it was until I heard about this.

As Ian and I were heading out on the town tonight, around 9:30pm, we were met in the lobby with a couple screaming at each other. They walked out of the building at the same time as us and we tried our best not to make eye-contact. But as we walked down the loop in front of our building, they were met by another man and two children (girls, about 3 and 9). The profanity and yelling increased. There was shoving between the two men.

Ian and I headed toward my car as they crossed the street to a moving truck. We turned to keep an eye on the scene and the angry man was back to yelling at the woman. He had backed her up against the truck and it sounded like he spit on her… and she spit back at him.

At this point, still standing across the street from this ruckus, we decide we should probably call the police before leaving the scene. Ian calls, gives the location, describes the situation, etc. And as we’re standing there, describing the people and their vehicles, the angry man gets into the moving truck and drives away… with the woman and second man chasing after, trailed by the older child trying to carry the younger one and keep up. They get about half a block up the street before turning around to get back into their car.

Woman and children stay in the car while the man goes into the building. An unmarked police car arrives with 3 officers inside. They get out and try to talk to the woman in the car. A minute later a second, marked, car arrives, followed shortly by a third… and fourth.

And then, um, Ian and I left to watch The Bourne Ultimatum, which was so much cooler than domestic violence.Princess Lillifee video

This weekend was fantastic! I’ve been craving birthday cake for months

. Seriously, since like January. I got some cake on Ian’s birthday, but it just wasn’t the same. Maybe it’s the getting old part that makes it taste so good.

I spent Saturday afternoon at the parents’. There was tons of food, but, specifically, yellow cake and Godzilla dvd brownies. I mixed together a mandarin orange topping, varied from the usual pineapple topping I make for my dad. I preferred this one — it was a little sweeter and had a better texture. He still prefers the pineapple. Oh well. Wasn’t for him this time. :P

I kind of regretted not taking any desserts home with me afterward, but that’s ok. I’ve been trying to cut back on all the bad food I’ve been eating lately anyway.

Which, of course, leads us to Saturday night dinner at Sweetwater Tavern. Ian let me order my two favorites: Drunken Rib-eye and Chicken Fingers. We swapped plates about half-way through, and then swapped back. Soooo good. And at some point, Ian told the waiter it was my birthday, so he came out with their Flourless Chocolate Waffle on a plate that said “Happy Birthday” in chocolate syrup. Mmmm.

ready for the last book. I shouldn’t have waited so long to start book 6, but whatever. I don’t need to buy into the craze… as much as everyone else. Yeah, Ian and I still got the last book on the Saturday it came out. Whatever.

I’ll try not to give anything away here, but if you don’t want to hear anything, I guess don’t read the rest. Overall, I thought the book was good. But holy cow. The boring part was slow. I was up stupid late on Sunday finishing the book because halfway through Sunday afternoon I fell asleep during the boring part of the book. It’s like a hundred pages of the characters being bored.
